Wi-Fi is becoming an increasingly important and intergrated component of today’s mobile services fabric. The introduction of smartphones and tablets, along with the transition from a mobile voice to a mobile data business model, is causing network operators to explore options and best practices to complement their cellular infrastructure with Wi-Fi to increase profit margins and extend user conectivity. • iPhone has unseated BlackBerry as the top smartphone among mobile employees with 45% market share.
  • 95% of mobile employees have smartphones, up from 85% in 2010, with 91% using their smartphone for work – a 26% rise compared to 2010.
  • Mobile workers don’t waste much time during the day on technology distractions – only about 28 minutes on average.
  • The saturation of mobile devices has led to a hyperconnected workforce that is sacrificing sleep and exercise for their jobs.
